More than 500 thousand people were left without water in MexicoApril 22, 2015
Mexico City, April 16. More than half a million residents of the city of Villahermosa deprived of drinking water due to the ingress of oil into local rivers.
It is reported that the cause of pollution has become an illegal tie-in pipeline oil company Pemex, which caused the leak.
In connection with the incident power temporarily closed all schools.
It is expected that a thorough cleaning of the rivers of oil will go more than three days.
Earlier it was reported explosion and ensuing fire on an oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico, Pemex has claimed the lives of 45 people. Another 16 people were injured. Total platform was evacuated 301 people.
