Was pulled from the mine in Armance the last five bodies of workDecember 12, 2014
After 38 days after the accident at a coal mine in Ermenak in central Turkey, search-and-rescue teams recovered the last five bodies of the dead miners.
Earlier, rescuers lifted the body 13 miners remained underground in a flooded mine. None of the 18 workers did not survive.
Recall October 28 in Karaman province in Central Anatolia as a result of flooding of a coal mine 18 miners were trapped underground.
Five of the dead miners were taken DNA samples. They are used for formal identification of the bodies of the Council of Forensic Medicine of Turkey (ATK). Later, the remains of the victims will be buried.
Seven people, including Managing Director Ermenek Cenne Lignite Coal Ltd. and the operator of the mine in Ermenak Abdullah Ozbey, were arrested on November 8. As part of the investigation into the incident on November 10 arrested the owner of a coal mine Has Şekerler Mining Ltd. in Ermenak Saffet Uyara.
Accident was caused by negligence and non-compliance with regulations, resulting in water from the mine was not pumped in a timely manner and it was the cause of the flooding. The company is accused of violation of the right and even the miners one hour lunch break. The miners were not allowed to dine outside the mine. The trouble is passed to the workers if they were at the time abroad.
